How God Transforms Lives

Research on How God Transforms Lives Reveals a 10-Stop Journey
Based on a long-term research project designed to better understand the process by which God transforms peoples' lives, this week's Update discusses the nature of that journey. Progress on the journey demands full cooperation with God and keeping an eye on the desired outcomes, as described by Jesus in Mark 12:30-31. The research reveals that the challenges of the process, combined with the seductions of the culture, cause many people to give up before they reach the half-way point of the journey. In addition, the evaluation criteria used by churches or individuals can stand in the way of progress. However, there is a predictable ten-stop journey that characterizes the developmental experience of most people—and understanding the pathway facilitates greater perseverance and progress. Discover more about the ways in which God transforms our lives—and how we interact with Him on that journey—in this week's Update.
