Greetings To All Saints
and Social Activist,
Once Again the Walk in San Francisco
for life exceeded the previous years in attendance! Eva Muntean and
Dolores Meachan have watched an idea blossom and grow to be the number two
pro-life event in the world. Wow!, I remember the first when the
opposition vowed we would not march and it seemed as if there were as many of
them as us. Since then their numbers have diminished and San Francisco Walk
For Life has exponentially grown.
Walter Hoye along with his wife
Laurie the day before led the saints through the streets of Oakland in their
7th annual walk for life. The walk for life was followed up with the Issues for
Life Conference. Pastor Bruce Rivers of Los Banos, California - Senior
Pastor of Greater Exodus Baptist Church, Western Mission, reminded us all of
the importance of the men to share their pain about their loss and personal
message on abortion. While speaking, two men came out of the crowd to the altar
for prayer.
The trip to California is never
complete till we worship with Progressive Missionary Baptist Church of Berkeley
California where Rev Dr. Earl Stuckey is the Pastor. Walter and Lori joined us
for the worship experience. The hospitality was grand and as usual a great time
of worship and fellowship.
Green Castle Penn was the site of
our Youth Retreat. Jo-El retreat center provides the seclusion and thus
ability to spend time with the Lord and the data. All data proves that the
18-25 age groups are increasingly pro-life. Education and demonstration is
critical in mentoring this up and coming generation of youth. These are those
who will go into the public square and proclaim the message of life and demand
the rights of those whose rights have been denied.
Clergy are crucial in shifting the
culture and education and information are the primary tools to assist them in
their own individual assignments. Our belief is if informed and challenged they
will find their role in the pro-life movement. I attended an effort that is
being made by New York Loves Life to reach the churches to adopt a
pregnancy center and support it holistically. This is refreshing and I look to
assist Paul Horrocks in this endeavor.
April will prove to be a very busy
month. I will be at the Columbus Baptist Church in Columbus, NJ for two
services in the morning. This believe it or not is new territory due to the
fact I rarely get called to go to south jersey. My wife and I will be attending
and after the morning sermons we will be offering materials to the
congregation. April 10th and 11th we will be ministering and manning a booth at
the Joseph Mattera "Seismic Shift" conference. Once again
though its Elizabeth its a new crowd and we hope to stay connected to this
world ministry. The conference has made a conscious decision to make abortion
more of a priority. Concerts of Prayer is led by Apostle Joseph Mattera who’s
been a source of spiritual renewal and edification for years.
I presently hold the office of President
of Metro Clergy For Better Choices. Meter Clergy For Better Choices is a
information network for Pastors and Social Activist in the New York
metropolitan area. We will be holding our spring complimentary luncheon at the
Robert Treat Hotel in Newark New Jersey on April 23 at 11:00AM. There will be
teaching materials being distributed again along with three presentations by
gifted men in their field of expertise. Dean Gavarius of Gateway Pregnancy
Center of New Jersey, Chris Pascal of Christian Fellowship Counsel and Ronald
Rynd of Christian Boys Brigade. Clergy For Better Choices is galvanizing
local church leadership to distribute the information received by our network
to their congregations and local community through their all ready existing
means of media & distribution. Please pray for our continued growth
and the success of our luncheon.
Please commit to a contribution to our work especially in a year
that will determine the direction of this country. Informing and protesting are
crucial in this year of decision! LEARNNORTHEAST plans to be on the
forefront of both. A regular commitment from you is always encouraging and that
commitment of any size is deeply appreciated. When you give it encourages us to
stay diligent in the fight. Your gift along with your prayers for our success
will assure our victory. I believe we are a ministry worth supporting and also are
a ministry that is extremely rare though our very work aims to change that. You
can help us by your gift! You may do so over our websites listed below or
you can do so now by following this link. Our mailing address is Learn Northeast PO BOX 157,
