Hobby
Lobby and Others Fight HHS Mandate
The
Supreme Court listened to its first court case against the Department of Health
and Human Services mandate to cover contraception in health insurance plans
last week. A decision in the Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood cases, in which the
NAE wrote and filed a brief , is expected
in June. In March, the NAE joined with other organizations in filing related
briefs on behalf of Priests for Life and Roman Catholic Archbishop and Little Sisters of the Poor.

World Relief’s Marriage Policy
The
NAE supports and affirms the statement by
its humanitarian arm, World Relief, regarding the recent employee policy
statements of a different development organization, World Vision. (read the statement)

The

the third anniversary of the civil war in Syria, while polarized politicians
drone on about drones, embargoes and boots on the ground, the suffering of
ordinary Syrians continues to deepen. The conflict in Syria is the worst
humanitarian disaster since the end of the Cold War. In the coming year three
quarters of Syria's population will be in need of humanitarian aid. As always,

to pray for the millions of people hurt by our broken immigration system. The

Worldwide
Converge
Worldwide, formerly known as the Baptist General Conference, is a
movement of churches working together to start and strengthen more churches. On
March 18, Converge Church Planting reported that the combined number of new
church plants and multisite locations started since January 2010 reached 226.
The number comprises 171 new church plants and 55 new multisite campuses –
toward a 2015 goal of at least 351 total. (learn more)
