"What is Street Corner Care"?

Street Corner Care   Recently we met with and navigated 9 Ladle guests to get appropriate medical treatment through Street Corner Care.  We are thankful for this new ministry of First Presbyterian Church!  But many have asked us, "What is Street Corner Care"?  Street Corner Care aims to increase access to healthcare for our local urban poor and homeless by connecting them with volunteer doctors, nurses, psychologists, and social workers and giving them space to talk about their health conditions.  The goal is to decrease barriers to care and increase the depth of our relationships with the homeless community.  This ministry meets on the courtyard during Ladle twice monthly and assists our guests with physical, psychological, and spiritual issues.  We are recruiting doctors, nurses, and social workers!  Please email john.savidge@fpcsd.org for more information.
