When St. Paul called the elders of Ephesus together he was able to say;
“You yourselves know how I lived among you the entire time from the
first day that I set foot in Asia”. Paul lived among the Ephesian elders
for about 3 ½ years. Rev. George Walker Smith could say the same after a
public life in San Diego beginning in June 1956; a good and long time. A
sent one; sent to a city, sent to a people and now sent to God where he
will continue to minister to the Father in the power of an endless
life. There are few in our neighborhood like Pastor Smith; people with
perseverance and staying power. Who will witness to our faithfulness?
