Sudan (MNN) -- The last 50-years of Sudan's history have been marred by civil war that's killed, wounded and displaced millions of people. Bible Translators and missionaries were also displaced. With the signing of a peace accord last year, Wycliffe Associates Bruce Smith says that has, "created kind of a window of opportunity for the next five to six years where this cease fire is supposed to be in place that has given us enough encouragement for the Bible translation teams who were working outside of the country to move back into Sudan." However, their facility is in disrepair by lack of maintenance and squatters. Smith says they need volunteers to help rebuild the facility. "This is a great opportunity to make a personal contribution to enable them to have Scripture in their own language and to really encourage the Christians that are in that country as well as getting the word out to the people who still need the Good News of the Gospel." Skilled workers are needed. Go to our website to get connected so you can make a difference.
