New Executive Director at NP Main Street

Elizabeth Studebaker Selected as North Park Main Street’s New Executive Director

North Park Main Street is pleased to announce our new Executive Director, Elizabeth Studebaker. In December 2006, Elizabeth was selected by Main Street to serve the organization through 2007.

Elizabeth previously worked as a Case Manager for the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor Council and as Outreach Director for San Diego Coastkeeper. She has experience in event organizing and coordinating volunteer-driven campaigns. She continues to serve on various community boards, including the Apollo Alliance and Progressive San Diego.

Elizabeth was chosen for her strong and varied background in non-profit work, community service, and local connections. No less important to the selection committee was the energy and enthusiasm she displayed for what North Park Main Street could accomplish this year.

2007 will be an important year for North Park Main Street. Under the direction of Elizabeth, Main Street expects to reorganize its funding structure in order to better finance much needed improvements in Downtown North Park. In addition, we will be working with the community to reinstate the Farmers Market, organize street cleanups, replace the banners in the business district and support local business owners by installing better sidewalk amenities.

Executive Assistant Melinda Pederson and Bookkeeper Marty Merrill look forward to working with Elizabeth and will continue to provide administrative support.

It is an exciting time to be a part of North Park! Main Street is proud to welcome an Executive Director who will live up to the vitality our community exhibits, and encourage dynamic growth in our neighborhood.
