Where are the pregnant women on your campus?

If 10% of all college women become pregnant each year, according to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, then where are all the pregnant women on your campus?

Two conclusions can be made:

Women have abortions. What they heard was “Don’t give up your dreams.” “You shouldn’t have to go through this.” “You’re a smart girl; you have so much to offer. A baby will only slow you down.” “Abortion is the answer.” All the while, they know deep down that it’s not that simple. But what choice do you have? One in every five abortions is performed on a college-age woman.

Women quit school to have their babies. The thought of juggling two major events in life is overwhelming and there seems to be little support from the school. So although they fear never going back and struggling to pay rent, they may drop out of school anyway.
